Aerostratospheric Launches Accessible STEM Credentialing Programs Designed to Connect Students With Aerospace, Atmospheric Science, Technology and Research
CASEY, Ill. - illiNews -- Aerostratospheric Corporation has officially unveiled its new STEM education initiative, expanding the organization's mission beyond stratospheric research and aerospace technology to provide accessible educational opportunities for students, educators, and members of the public.
The new programs are designed to give learners an opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through Aerostratospheric's growing aerospace and atmospheric research community.
At the center of the initiative is the Xplorer Program, which provides structured STEM learning opportunities and allows participants to earn certificates representing one-hour and five-hour STEM learning experiences. The program is designed to provide an accessible entry point for students and aspiring STEM learners while introducing them to real-world concepts connected to atmospheric science, aerospace, data, engineering and exploration.

For advanced users, Aerostratospheric also offers a premium STEM course that includes a comprehensive examination and supporting documentation designed to provide a deeper educational experience and demonstrate completion of advanced coursework.
The organization is also home to STEM.org Certified Master Instructors who have contributed to the development of Aerostratospheric's STEM education and community outreach programs. Their experience helps guide the creation of educational materials and outreach opportunities intended to make STEM learning more accessible and engaging.
"Aerostratospheric was built around the idea that exploration should not be limited to the people who already have access to advanced laboratories or aerospace programs," said Jeremy D. Higgs, founder and director of Aerostratospheric. "Our STEM initiative gives students and lifelong learners a way to begin exploring these subjects while connecting education directly to the research and technology we are developing."
