Company Creating New Intelligent Pillow, Seeks Participants in Beta

LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. - illiNews -- Coropilo and Robauto partner to design Intelligent Pillow, Seeks Beta Participants

When Coropilo founder Alejandro Boca Novo founded Coropilo he knew a thing or two about pillow comfort. Alejandro, age 21, is currently a business student at Fordham University. 6 years ago he was injured in a serious accident and since has found it difficult to maintain comfort and temperature during long periods of time in bed.

As Novo started to research solutions he found that there were several beds for sale which tracked sleep and adjusted temperature throughout the night - but they were expensive. He found pillows on the market but nothing that would meet his needs.

In January of 2019 Novo partnered with Intelligent Hardware design firm Robauto to build the world's first Intelligent Heating & Cooling Pillow. The teams are working on rapidly developing a prototype which responds to voice control as well as human interaction to adjust the temperature as needed.

"Coropilo is a really interesting concept but also stems from real-world need," said Jalali Hartman, CEO of Robauto, "The best innovations are generated when people try to solve their own burning needs."

Within 1 week of launching the website, the company has had more than 500 requests to beta test and is seeking individuals with neck, back or jaw pain, night sweats or other sleep issues to help provide feedback and potentially beta test future prototypes.

The National Sleep Foundation reports that more than 1 in 3 people suffers from chronic sleep issues.

"Sleep is an important issue in people's lives. We hope to help improve sleep and comfort for many," said Novo.
