Narration by the author brings the "Hands on the Bible" prequel to audio, with a full audio-play adaptation to follow.
CHICAGO - illiNews -- Independent author and filmmaker Michael Finney today announced the audiobook release of For the Love of God, now available on Audible, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and other retailers.
Set in an alternative history where the Spanish Empire still dominates the Americas, For the Love of God follows Carolina, a young woman who becomes lost and confused before meeting a tragic end. The audiobook is narrated entirely by Finney, who also wrote it. Prior to the events of Bloody Sepulchre, Vicente and the Perez family are entwined. For the Love of God traces the motives and factions that set that earlier story in motion.
"Hopefully, this story reveals more of the world and circumstances involving the characters in a way people were curious about after Bloody Sepulchre," said Finney. "The cast really expanded significantly in this story, and the world the story inhabits grew considerably as well."
This audiobook release is narration-only. Bloody Sepulchre's audiobook received a full audio-play treatment, and a comparable adaptation of For the Love of God is planned for a future release once production is complete.

Finney added, "Unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete the audio play production prior to the release of this audiobook version because I've been a little behind all year. I'm hoping to get a chance to complete it before the end of the year, then add it to this release so that those that have the audiobook will be 'airdropped' the new file."
For the Love of God's ebook edition was released earlier this year, continuing Finney's ongoing work in the Hands on the Bible series — a body of alternative-history short fiction exploring faith, empire, and colonization in a world where history took a different turn.
About the Audiobook
For the Love of God is available now on Audible, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo, with additional platforms rolling out in the coming weeks. The ebook edition is available on Amazon.
