LOS ANGELES - illiNews -- Fox&Summit® today introduced a new smart device, the Wi-Fi® Pull Cord Sensor (FS-PCS200), that allows friends and family to be notified whenever a loved one needs assistance at home. The new sensor expands the company's growing range of smart home devices and builds upon its goal of a simpler, connected home experience for the consumer.
The Fox&Summit® Pull Cord Sensor exhibits a utilitarian design that is aesthetically pleasing in any room. Subtle design details include a button for easier pairing and an LED indicator light that lets consumers visually know its connection status.
The smart sensor gives customers peace of mind whenever help is needed at home by sending push notifications to family members with FS Home account access. There is also a built-in chime for local audible alarms. As soon as the included cord is pulled, the audible alert lets anyone at home know help is requested.
Each newly purchased Wi-Fi Pull Cord Sensor includes batteries and a mounting adhesive strip for flexible installation. Easily stick it to a wall by the bathtub or shower, near a set of stairs, or beside a bed.
The Fox&Summit® Pull Cord Sensor leverages existing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks for a hub-free ecosystem. This simplifies installation with a wireless and wire-free set up and reduces cost to consumers by eliminating the need to purchase an additional smart hub.

"We developed a device that is unique to the smart home market in the U.S.," says Vincent Reapor, CIPO/COO of Fox&Summit®. "In Europe, it is common for hotel guests to find these types of devices near the showers of accessible rooms. We thought, with the aging population and the growth of in-home health industry, there was an opportunity to introduce a smart sensor with the same functionality. Ultimately, the Pull Cord Sensor offers people an affordable, hub-free device that assists in their ability to care for friends and family who may need some extra care."
The Fox&Summit® Pull Cord Sensor is currently available to U.S. customers from Fox&Summit® for $29.49 and will soon be available through other authorized Fox&Summit® retail channels. Please visit Fox&Summit® for more products details on the Wi-Fi Pull Cord Sensor (FS-PCS200).
