NAPERVILLE, Ill. ~ Naperville, Illinois - The City of Naperville is taking steps to address the parking needs in its downtown area by launching the 2026 Downtown Parking Survey. The survey, which is now open until 9 a.m. on Monday, July 27, aims to gather public input on parking availability, location and quantity in the downtown area.
This survey is part of a larger study conducted by the City to assess downtown parking occupancy and customer satisfaction. The data collected will be used to inform policy recommendations for managing the city's parking supply and to evaluate the success of past parking strategies. It will also help track changes in parking patterns and assess current user satisfaction.

Unlike previous years, this year's survey will be conducted online instead of in person. To encourage real-time participation from visitors, temporary signs with QR codes will be placed around downtown. Additionally, City staff will be conducting parking counts during the weekend of July 18.
According to City officials, this survey is an important tool in managing downtown parking and addressing long-term needs. They urge members of the public to participate and share their thoughts through the brief survey available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/2026DowntownParking.
