~ On Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 1:36 p.m., a shooting was reported in the 700 block of Inland Circle. According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the scene where they found a twenty-six-year-old male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim's condition was unknown at the time of the incident.
The Naperville Fire Department also responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. The victim's identity has not been released.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim and the perpetrator were acquainted with each other. The police are currently following leads to locate the offender who is believed to have fled the area. It is suspected that this was a targeted incident and there is no immediate threat to the community.
