NAPERVILLE, Ill. ~ On Saturday night, Naperville Police Officers responded to a parking lot in the 0 hundred block of West Van Buren after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a male victim who had been shot in the leg. The Naperville Fire Department transported him to the hospital and his injuries are non-life threatening.
The investigation suggests that the victim and shooter were known to each other prior to this incident, although the exact relationship is still being determined. The victim was able to provide details that led to a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle and a person of interest was taken into custody. No charges have been filed yet as the investigation continues.
