On June 19, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Naperville police officers responded to the 700 block of Royal St. George Drive for a report of a food delivery driver being robbed of his wallet and car keys by two (2) male black suspects after having been called to the location under the premise of completing an order. The suspects subsequently stole the victim's vehicle, which was later recovered in another local jurisdiction after the occupants fled during an attempted traffic stop. The victim was not physically harmed during the crime.

Naperville detectives assembled the case over the course of the last two (2) months and developed information leading to the arrest of a juvenile suspect from Naperville on Sept. 1, 2022, on felony robbery and possession of stolen motor vehicle charges. Juvenile law prohibits the release of the suspect's name. The investigation is on-going regarding the second suspect.
