Karen I. Hirsch Photo is Nominee in International Color Awards

CHICAGO - May 13, 2019 - illiNews -- The 12th Annual International Color Awards selected Karen I. Hirsch's photo, "Roller Coaster Skyline" as a Nominee in the Abstract category.

7,241 entries were received from 79 countries. This photograph received a high percentage of votes from a distinguished panel of judges. The Jury represented the industry's biggest names and tastemakers including Sotheby's, New York; Benetton, Ponzano Veneto; The Art Channel, London; Kolle Rebbe, Hamburg; Droga5, New York; Preus Museum, Norway; Art Beatus, Hong Kong; Forsman & Bodenfors, Gothenburg; Wieden & Kennedy, Portland; Fox Broadcasting Network, Los Angeles; Gallery Kong, Seoul; and Phillips, New York.

Hirsch made this creative image by applying post-production techniques to her original image of the Chicago skyline.  "I am honored to have my work selected along with such excellent honorees, stated the photographer."

Karen I. Hirsch is an international award-winning photographer and digital artist based in Chicago, Illinois. Her photos have been published internationally in books, newspapers, magazines and calendars.  She is active in the photographic community as a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and the American Photographic Artists.  She is co-president of Fort Dearborn-Chicago Photo Forum, an historic not-for-profit photo organization.

Hirsch's photos are found in private and corporate art collections.
