Reverse fantasy game, Loserball, returns for the 2026 NFL season, rewarding bad performances, blown opportunities, and other on-field disasters.
WASHINGTON - illiNews -- Everybody knows how to root for the best players in football. Loserball is built for the rest of us.
The hilarious reverse fantasy sports game returns for the 2026 NFL season, challenging fans to predict who's going to stink instead of who's going to shine.
And this season, Loserball is free to play, with $1,000 in prizes every week.
Rather than drafting fantasy superstars, players make weekly selections across categories built around football failure — bad quarterback performances, turnovers, missed kicks and other glorious catastrophes. Players can compete for weekly prizes, challenge friends, and track their results in a season-long contest that runs through the NFL playoffs.
"Traditional fantasy football asks you to predict greatness," said Jonathan Gruber, Founder and CEO of Loserball. "We think there's just as much skill — and a lot more fun — in recognizing impending disaster."

Behind the deliberately ridiculous premise is a seriously experienced team, including Rick Wolf, FSGA founding board member and two-time Fantasy Sports Hall of Fame inductee; Ed Moed, CEO of Hot Paper Lantern; and acclaimed advertising creative Ari Merkin. Wolf is also a co-founder of National Fantasy Football Draft Day.
Loserball has already earned recognition across the sports and gaming industries, including the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association pitch competition and ICE Barcelona, with coverage from Yahoo Sports, Action Network and Gaming Today.
Every week brings a fresh slate. And every week, somebody will win big when it all goes wrong on the field.
