The QiVi MEC device is a unique external male urine collection system that addresses common complications associated with other methods such as indwelling catheters, external condom sheath catheters, and absorbent pads. By using suction technology, it diverts urine output in real-time while keeping the skin dry. The non-absorbing pouch material also allows for precise fluid intake and outtake assessment. This innovative design eliminates the need for traditional wicking or absorbing materials.

In addition to its functional benefits, QiVi MEC also prioritizes patient comfort with its universal fit and derma-friendly silicon-based adhesive that creates a closed system to prevent leakage. "Our vision is to develop products that improve clinical outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and expand coverage of use," said Nish Chasmawala, co-founder and CEO of Consure Medical. "We are incredibly excited to work with Medline to help make QiVi a standard of care across U.S. acute care hospitals."
