CHICAGO - illiNews -- This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the iconic title "Mr. Irrelevant," bestowed upon the last player selected in the professional football draft. What once represented a longshot's final chance to make it to the pros today is being recast into a powerful symbol of overcoming doubt, defying expectations, and achieving greatness.

Mr. Irrelevant is coming to life on the big screen as a feature film. The original story was created by Steve Alten, the Author of The Meg and The Meg 2, a Billion-Dollar Franchise.  The team also includes Oscar-winning screenwriter Terry George (In the Name of the Father, Hotel Rwanda), making the film one of the only sports movies in history written by an Oscar Winner.

Beyond the film, we celebrate the  bestselling release of the highly anticipated book, 50 Irrelevants Who Rocked the World, available for purchase on Amazon. The book has achieved #1 Amazon New Release recognition.
