The Midwest personal injury law firm founded by Attorney Andrew S. Kryder delivers six-figure and seven-figure results—including a $1.25M recovery for a motorcyclist struck by a semi and a $100k recovery for a rider injured by a negligent driver.
CHICAGO - illiNews -- A single reckless driver can turn an ordinary day into a life-altering event. The Kryder Law Group, LLC Accident and Injury Lawyers today announced the resolution of two motorcycle accident cases totaling $1,350,000, reflecting the firm's continued commitment to holding negligent drivers accountable and recovering fair compensation for injured riders throughout the Midwest.
In the first case, a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on I-294 near travel plaza 35 in Cook County when he was struck by a semi that improperly changed lanes. The collision left him with wide-ranging injuries affecting multiple areas of the body—severe enough to require surgery and inpatient treatment, and resulting in significant damages. We filed suit alleging negligence on the part of the semi driver. After conducting discovery and depositions, the case settled for the policy limits of $1,250,000.

In the second case, a motorcyclist was traveling on North Avenue near Thatcher Avenue in Elmwood Park, Illinois when he was struck and thrown from his bike by a vehicle that made an improper left turn. He suffered a lower back fracture that required pain management and physical therapy. We filed a lawsuit alleging negligence on the part of the other driver. The case settled for the full policy limit of $100,000.
These results show what focused, thorough preparation can accomplish. By building each case, moving through discovery and depositions, and staying ready to argue in court, the firm puts injured clients in the strongest possible position to settle on fair terms. For a family facing surgeries, mounting medical bills, and a long recovery, that kind of result can change everything. In both cases, we were able to force the insurance company to pay the policy limits after litigating the cases.
"Every case we take on is about a real family working to rebuild their lives," said Andrew Kryder, Founding Partner. "We prepare each case as if it's going to trial, because that preparation is what drives strong settlements. Our clients come to us during some of the hardest moments they'll ever face, and our job is to carry that burden and fight for the outcome they deserve."
