New limited-edition apparel line draws from real American organized crime history, not pop culture
ADDISON, Ill. - illiNews -- ADDISON, IL — Independent creator Bret Juliano has launched Syndicate Style, a historically accurate apparel line inspired by real events, locations, and power structures from the history of American organized crime. The debut collection is now live on Kickstarter and features limited-edition designs rooted in documented moments from the Prohibition era and mid-20th-century underworld.
Unlike novelty crime merchandise or pop-culture-driven designs, Syndicate Style emphasizes historical authenticity. Each piece is based on verified locations and events, including the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, the Ravenite Social Club, and the Commission—the governing body that once oversaw organized crime families across the United States.
"I wanted to create apparel that treats history with respect," said Juliano. "These designs are meant to feel like artifacts — grounded in real research, not stereotypes."

Syndicate Style is produced by Dust Bunny Mafia, a Chicago-based creative studio known for blending researched history with narrative storytelling. Juliano is the creator of the long-running Dust Bunny Mafia comic series and the Based on a True Story comic collection, which present real moments from criminal history through a documentary-inspired lens.
The Kickstarter campaign features premium t-shirts, art prints, and collectible accessories produced in small quantities. Early backers receive founder-exclusive details that will not be available after the campaign ends. While select designs may return in the future, these first-edition releases are exclusive to Kickstarter supporters.
The Syndicate Style Kickstarter campaign is currently live for a limited time and open to backers worldwide.
