The first tip: Get started today.
"Don't waste any time," she said. "Now is the time to start building your name."
Two: Start building content on on social media.
"Eat, sleep and live social," she said. "This is the only way to build that fire that will eventually spread your name everywhere."
Three: Don't listen when people say no.
"I've been told no a lot," she said. "Even though you're told no, you have to keep going. Don't let it stop you."
Four: Learn the music business while finishing school.
"Being educated on the music business is so important," she said. "But it's important to be both street smart about the business and book smart. I graduated from college and graduating gives you a leg up when interpreting and signing business documents and record deals."

Five: Don't quit. Ever.
"Even when it seems like the fire will die, you have to keep it going," she said. "I'm still growing and working with other growing artists and creating new music constantly. This helps to increase people's awareness of you. People love new music."
It is this determination that led BLVSH to build her following as she adds to her growing list of albums. She's currently in the studio recording her fifth release.
During her career, she has worked with and writes music for many well known Chicago artists. She started out with the Respect the Artist movement powered by Beadz, an initiative to "give a grass roots push for artists in the Midwest."
From there, BLVSH started writing more.
She was recently in the spotlight after releasing a remix of Gherbo's Never Cared. View the official video, filmed by TevDesh Productions, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XGBmz33A8s.
