CHICAGO ~ Fairway Capital Management, an investment management firm founded by a team of five former colleagues from Adams Street Partners, announced today that their Fairway Private Equity & Venture Capital Opportunities Fund (the "Fund") finished its first full year with a decline of -5.43% for the twelve months ended December 31, 2022. This is in comparison to the S&P 500 index which declined -18.11% over the same period.
The Fund, registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 (the "'40 Act"), provides qualified investors exposure to venture capital and private equity investments through primary, secondary and co-investment strategies that are typically available only to large institutional investors.
Founding Partner Kevin Callahan expressed his enthusiasm for the initial investments made by the Fund and believes that it is well-positioned to deliver attractive performance going forward. He further stated that their competitive advantage lies in their investment team's access to many highly sought-after funds through relationships developed over many decades. The portfolio reflects this access with primary fund commitments from established firms as well as newer funds raised by experienced managers.

The evergreen structure of the Fund provides immediate and continuous exposure to high-quality private equity and venture capital investments with quarterly investment opportunities and liquidity subject to limitations. Additionally, it features Form 1099 tax reporting which simplifies the tax return process for investors.
The Fairway team consists of veteran private equity professionals with total collective experience of 100+ years and deep relationships with many leading private equity and venture capital General Partners including Tom Gladden, Kathy Wanner, Laura Milligan, Kai Moon, Lauren Bozzelli, Kevin Callahan and Patrick McGarvey. John Callahan also works on the team having previously worked at Headlands Tech Global Markets (2015-2021) before joining TD Securities (2021–2022).
