CHICAGO, May 2, 2025 ~ Grainger, a leading distributor of maintenance, repair and operating products, has announced the appointment of Melanie Tinto as their new Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Tinto will officially join the Grainger Leadership Team on April 28th and will be responsible for overseeing all HR strategy and operations.
In a statement, D.G. Macpherson, Chairman and CEO of Grainger, emphasized the importance of supporting and engaging their team members as the company continues to grow and evolve. He expressed confidence in Tinto's ability to lead with a commitment to Grainger's principles.
Tinto brings with her a wealth of experience in the HR field, having previously served as CHRO at WEX, a financial technology solutions provider. During her time at WEX, she played a key role in transforming the company's HR function into a strategic business partner by focusing on developing high-performing teams and implementing technology to improve operations.

Prior to her role at WEX, Tinto held leadership positions at Medtronic, Hewlett-Packard, Walmart, and Bank of America. With over 30 years of experience in HR, she has consistently demonstrated an ability to align people strategies with business objectives.
Outside of work, Tinto enjoys spending time with her family and is actively involved in her community. She will be relocating from Maine to the Chicago area later this year.
Tinto's appointment is seen as a testament to Grainger's commitment to creating a culture where every team member has the opportunity to learn, develop and achieve success.
