Naperville Police Arrest LaGrange Man on Felony Grooming and Sexual Abuse Charges

NAPERVILLE, ILL ~ Naperville Police have arrested a high school teacher from Neuqua Valley High School on April 3, 2025, after an investigation into allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student. The accused, identified as William Schaub, 56, was taken into custody at his home in La Grange and charged with multiple felonies.

According to school officials, they received an anonymous tip on March 7 regarding the alleged relationship between Schaub and a female student. The Naperville Police then launched an investigation in collaboration with the Will County Child Advocacy Center.

The investigation revealed that Schaub had been exchanging inappropriate electronic messages with the student between November 2024 and March 2025. Additionally, evidence of physical contact between the two was also discovered in December 2024.

Schaub was arrested without incident during a traffic stop near his home and later transported to the Will County Jail. He is facing charges of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, Grooming, and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

The Naperville Police would like to remind the public and media that these are only allegations at this point and Schaub is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The case is still under investigation and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
