CHICAGO - illiNews -- The Hemingway district shops in Oak Park are busy preparing for a day full of cheer, excitement, and new memories. On Saturday, November 26th, local businesses invite the community to join them for a day full of seasonal festivities. Shops down the avenue will open at 10:00am and Hemingway the Polar Bear arrives at Scoville Square. Guests will discover a range of holiday offerings and ambrosial stations scheduled throughout the day leading up to the tree lighting on Scoville Square. After the tree lighting, friends and family are encouraged to gather and dine at local restaurants on the avenue. Shop Small is a day to celebrate and support local businesses in the community and strengthen the local economy, while also making memories and finding unique gifts.

- 10 am to 5pm Shop 'til you drop! Join in on the Hemingway Holiday Hustle! Shop any retailer in the Hemingway District 11/24 – 12/24, spend $250 total from any store(s), then stop by Candycopia with your receipts to receive a ½ lb bag of bulk candy.
- 10 am to 1pm Hemingway the Polar Bear arrives at Scoville Square
- 10 am to 1pm Potos with Hemingway the Polar Bear at Oak Park Bank
