ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - illiNews -- The 2025 Community Paint-A-Thon is now accepting applications from eligible homeowners seeking free exterior painting services. Now in its 38th year, this annual community-wide initiative unites volunteers, local governments, and nonprofit partners to restore dignity and safety to the homes of older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities who are living on limited incomes. This year's Paint-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, with applications due by July 1, 2025.
By providing a fresh coat of paint, the Paint-A-Thon not only revitalizes homes, but it also restores pride, independence and well-being for homeowners who are unable to maintain their properties due to age, disability, or limited income. To qualify, applicants must meet specific criteria found on the HandsOn Suburban Chicago website at https://handsonsuburbanchicago.org/paint-a-thon-program/.
