Kolbus AutoBox will be launching several new corrugated box making and printing solutions at Drupa 2020.
CLEVELAND - illiNews -- The print industry has become a major market sector for the AutoBox range, enabling in-house box making to become a commercially viable operation for print, book binding and packaging producers.
The Boxer will be shown for the first time running fanfold corrugated board. This new features enables The Boxer to run either sheet or fanfold corrugated board. Fanfold for certain applications especially making boxes for very long items, reduces waste and turns the box making process into a single person only operation. Even when running fanfold fed material, The Boxer still produces an industry standard box with proper slots and defined creasing including when running double wall corrugated board.
To further aid the entire box making process, The Boxer features in-line glue application so that one machine operator can run the machine and fold and glue the boxes in one pass. This eliminates the need to take box blanks to a separate gluing process.
The AutoBox AB300 combined with the MC300 is especially suited for the production of box styles (OPF's, wraps etc) used for transit protection of large format print items. The machine can seen making boxes of varying styles and sizes at Drupa.

Inline single colour digital print is now offered on both The Boxer and the AutoBox AB300. Handling instruction, simple logo's etc can easily be added to boxes in a single pass box making and printing cycle.
Also new for Drupa, will see the launch the BoxPrint BP500 a full colour, flat bed, offline printer specifically engineered for use within the corrugated box making process. Incorporating Memjet print heads, the BP500 enables corrugated sheets to be printed prior to the box making process. Simple intuitive software enables images to be uploaded and sized. Preconditioning of the sheet prior to printing is achieved with inline vacuum system.
The BP500 enables value to be added to corrugated box production especially for short to medium run orders.
The newly formed Corrugated division of Kolbus will continue to launch new machinery solutions for both short and high volume box making.
AutoBox equipment is backed by the KOLBUS America Customer Service and Support Program and provides 24/7/365 parts and phone service support at no additional charge.
