NEW LENOX, Ill. - illiNews -- With her upcoming novel Nothing Else is Love (TouchPoint Press, October 12, 2021), Gina Linko asks the question: What if your past life wasn't quite over?
Nothing Else is Love employs two intertwining storylines with a touch of magic to tell a story of identity, memory, and love. The interplay between a past and present life makes for an exciting new direction in dual-storyline romance that will appeal to readers of women's fiction, literary fiction, and romance. In Linko's words, it's "a rumination on all the big questions, what is life? What is love? What truly matters?"
About the Book
In 1998, Alice Grier is a normal twenty-five-year-old with a secret. She plays piano, speaks French, and mixes perfume. For her graduate work, she's researching the history of St. Paul's most famous buildings, including its Victorian homes, speakeasies, and breweries, and its underground maze of caves and tunnels.

Rune Folkeson came to America in the 1920s as a child, a Swedish immigrant with an abusive father, secretive brother, and seer mother. As Rune seeks the American Dream, he must avoid the vision his mother has had since the day he was born: Rune belly-crawling for his life through a darkened tunnel -- not unlike the ones below St. Paul's Swede Hollow neighborhood.
Alice's and Rune's stories can't intertwine; they're separated by an ocean and nearly a century.
But, then, there's Alice's secret: she knows how to make perfume from the before, when she lived in France, nearly a hundred years ago. In her previous life. When Alice's discoveries at Swede Hollow begin to fade the line between past and present, Alice realizes that her before isn't over.
Nothing Else is Love will be available in eBook ($5.99) and trade paperback ($17.99) from major retailers. Wholesale direct from TouchPoint Press and Ingram.
