NAPERVILLE, Ill. ~ Naperville, Illinois - In the early hours of Thursday, September 12th, the Naperville Emergency Communication Center (ECC) received a call regarding a structure fire at a single-family home on Haverhill Circle. The call came in at 3:36 a.m., prompting the ECC to dispatch a general alarm assignment consisting of 10 fire apparatus and 24 personnel, including an incident commander and safety officer.
Upon arrival, the resident reported seeing heavy smoke and flames on the deck of their two-story home. The first vehicle arrived on scene at 3:44 a.m. and confirmed that there was indeed a fire on the attached deck. Firefighters quickly ensured that all occupants were safely out of the home before deploying a hose line to extinguish the flames.

By 3:50 a.m., the fire was reported as being under control and overhaul operations began. Fire crews remained on scene for an additional hour to ensure that all hot spots were extinguished. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among both occupants and firefighters.
The Naperville Fire Department received assistance from other departments including Naperville Police, Electric Utility, and Transportation, Engineering and Development Department. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
According to officials, the majority of damage was contained to the exterior of the home with an estimated cost of $60,000. The building was deemed habitable after inspection.
