Naperville Police were called to the 300 block of Washington Street at approximately 5:17 p.m. on September 13, 2020 for a report of an armed robbery.
Responding officers were informed that the juvenile victim was sitting with friends in Fredenhagen Park when an unknown male approached him, pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him and demanded cash. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the scene on foot.

Responding officers located the suspect, a 13-year-old from Lisle, a short distance away and took him into custody. Charges against the juvenile are pending, and the incident remains under investigation. If anyone has additional information regarding this investigation, they are encouraged to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division.
