Naperville Police Charge Northbrook Man in 2020 Bakery Burglary

On May 18, 2020, at approximately 8:47 a.m., Naperville Police officers were dispatched to a report of a delayed burglary at the Tous Les Jour Bakery, located at 1512 N. Naper Blvd., Naperville. The preliminary investigation revealed that the offender had entered the bakery's rear entrance sometime overnight and stole cash from the business. Evidence was collected, and the case was assigned to the Investigations Division for follow-up.

Unrelated to the Naperville burglary, the Glenview Police Department recently arrested a subject in their town for a similar incident. Through further investigation, the same subject was identified as the suspected offender in the Naperville burglary as well. The following individual was charged for the Tous Les Jour Bakery burglary on Feb. 25.

Arrested: Battogtokh Gombo, 40, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk, North Brook, IL is charged with one felony count (class 3) of Burglary.

The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
