~ At the early hours of June 15, 2024, a traffic crash with injuries occurred at the intersection of S. Naper Boulevard and Culpepper Drive in Naperville. The Naperville Police Department and Naperville Fire Department were immediately dispatched to the scene at 3:46 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found a 2021 blue Kia Forte that had veered off the road and collided with a tree. The driver, identified as a 20-year-old female from Lisle, was trapped inside the vehicle. After being freed from the wreckage, she was rushed to a nearby hospital with significant injuries.

Unfortunately, a small dog was also found inside the Kia and was taken to an emergency veterinarian hospital. Despite efforts to save its life, the dog did not survive its injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department's Traffic Unit were called to the scene. As a result, S. Naper Boulevard and Culpepper Drive were closed until 8:20 a.m.
The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the Naperville Police Department's Traffic Unit at 630-420-8833.
