~ Naperville, IL- On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Leach Dr. in response to a report of a gunshot victim. According to the preliminary investigation, two individuals who were known to the victim arrived at their residence and a struggle ensued. During the altercation, the victim was shot in the leg. The two suspects then fled on foot.
After several hours of searching the area, Naperville officers were able to locate and apprehend one of the suspects, who is a juvenile. The juvenile was later transferred to the River Valley Juvenile Detention Center and appeared at a detention hearing this morning. They have been charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery and will remain in custody until their next court date on May 1, 2024.

The investigation is still ongoing in order to locate and apprehend the second suspect involved in this incident.
The Naperville Police Department would like to extend their gratitude to Indian Prairie School District 204 and the community for their cooperation and understanding during this investigation. They would also like to thank the Will County State's Attorney's Office for their assistance and guidance in this case.
Anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Naperville Police Department Investigations Division at 630-548-2955.
