~ Naperville residents are invited to attend the annual Public Safety Open House on Saturday, September 27th at the Public Safety Campus on Aurora Avenue. The event, hosted by the Naperville Police and Fire Departments, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The open house promises to be a fun and educational day for the whole family, with activities, giveaways, and safety information provided by Naperville's public safety teams. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness demonstrations by the Fire Department, including a technical rescue and a flashover fire battle.
The Police Department will also be showcasing their skills with a mock traffic stop and DUI arrest, as well as highlighting the talents of their K-9 Unit. Attendees can also learn about how the department utilizes drones and tasers in their work.

In addition to these demonstrations, participants can view and interact with police and fire equipment and vehicles. They can also gather information on fire safety and crime prevention from experts in the field. The event will also provide opportunities for attendees to talk with police officers and firefighters, dust for fingerprints with a crime scene detective, and learn how to call 9-1-1 from real telecommunicators.
