~ Porte Brown LLC, a leading accounting firm in the Chicagoland area, has recently been recognized as one of the top ten Accounting Today's 2025 Best Firms for Women in the nation. This prestigious honor is awarded to firms that have demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting and supporting women in the workplace.
To be considered for this distinction, firms must first be selected as one of Accounting Today's 2025 Best Firms to Work For. This year, Porte Brown was ranked seventh in the medium size category (50-249 employees). However, to be eligible for the Best Firms for Women list, firms must have a minimum of 15 women on staff, regardless of their overall size. For firms with more than 60 employees, at least 25% of their workforce must be female.
In addition to these requirements, firms must also have a high female response rate to the employee survey conducted by Accounting Today. For employers with fewer than 25 women, the response rate must be at least 80%, while all other firms must have a response rate of at least 40%. Furthermore, these responses must reflect an average positive rating of at least 80% from female employees.
