PARK RIDGE, Ill. - illiNews -- The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) — the technical society for individuals in the field of tribology and lubrication engineering — is hosting the 2025 Tribology & Lubrication for E-Mobility Conference on November 19-21 at the Detroit Marriott Troy in Troy, Michigan. Registration is now open for the conference.

This event will explore the latest technical challenges and commercial opportunities that will impact the future of electric vehicle technology. Topic areas include electric vehicle hardware, electric vehicle drivetrain efficiency, lubricant formulation, sustainable mobility and electrification. There are two new technical tracks on the program: Test Methods and Tribological Development and Battery and Charging Hardware.

"The 2025 Tribology & Lubrication for E-Mobility Conference brings together industry leaders, researchers and innovators to address the evolving demands of e-mobility technology," said Rebecca Lintow, CAE, STLE executive director. "With new technical tracks focused on battery systems and testing methods, this year's program reflects the rapid pace of innovation and the growing need for high-performance solutions. Attendees of last year's event were primarily working in research and development or product design, engineering, and technical services, with the remaining made up of a diverse group of chemists, government researchers, lubricant end-users, sales and marketing representatives, and more. The conference is located in the Detroit area, which is central to many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
