Master Olumide Olupitan, founder of Pa David Olupitan Library & Cultural Gallery presents the private foundation's first annual Juneteenth event.

CHICAGO - illiNews -- All are welcome to come out and celebrate Juneteenth at 2929 S. Wabash Suite 203 Chicago, Illinois from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2018. The affair will celebrate the official book dedication and installation ceremony for T.R.U.S.T. Classroom Management, Time to Rebuild Understanding between Students & Teachers. Written by the four women of Urban E.D.U. Coach: Marcella Graves, Jamillah Kareem, April Weaver, Michelle Yisrael and Published by Wide View Publishing. The authors have over 100 years of combined experience as educators, and their efforts have shaped the lives of countless individuals for the betterment of our community.

The mission of Pa David Olupitan Library & Cultural Gallery is to create a non - partisan environment and experience that preserves, educates, inspires and celebrates our cultural past, present, and future. The authentic atmosphere of the library & gallery will feature rare and exotic books, photos, magazines, posters, memorabilia and artifacts from the 1960's – current day. It also provides an exceptional platform for persons to learn essential information on Africa, Black History, African American Contemporary History and Geographical facts.

This is the first installment of many engagements to launch the opening of the private library and cultural gallery dedicated to the honor and living memory of Pa David Durojaye Olupitan. He was an icon in the realm of International business, a Chicago Civic leader, an Industrialist, Educator, Chairman at Nigeria Community of Chicagoland Inc., Co- Founder of the Continental Africa Chamber of Commerce, Co-Founder of The Africa International House and The African Festival of The Arts and Co-Founder of The United African Organization. He has made many contributions toward building a stronger bridge between Africans and African – Americans throughout the Diaspora. Pa David Olupitan Library & Cultural Gallery aims to preserve and share the legacy of historic works.
