Chicago epidemiologist announces new name for strategic advisory group

CHICAGO - illiNews -- Epidemiologist and disease prevention consultant Allecia Harley, MPH announced today that her advisory group, Lake Shore Strategy, has rebranded to become Prevention Advisory Group, LLC.

Harley said the rebranding, effective today, comes at a time when decision makers everywhere are seeking the expertise of epidemiologists like her to help them conduct readiness assessments to re-open public spaces after closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prevention Advisory Group provides clients ranging from universities to corporations with insights into healthy decision making, disease prevention and education, and population health. The firm serves senior-level executives at small-to-medium-sized nonprofit and governmental agencies looking for immediate support from a trusted healthcare advisor on how to protect the health of their internal and external communities.

They offer clients executive briefings and insights key to decision making on critical healthcare topics. They also offer topical training sessions and workshops to educate non-clinical leaders on relevant healthcare topics.

As part of the rebranding, Prevention Advisory Group is launching a new logo and a revised website in addition to rolling out new services.

"Under our new name, we will build on our work to promote healthy schools, healthy universities, and healthy workplaces," Harley said. "I'm excited to continue providing actionable insights and thought leadership on disease prevention to executives tasked with leading the charge against destructive diseases in our communities."

Harley said the new name is the culmination of months of work to redefine the firm's purpose, vision, mission, and values.

"Like so many small businesses, we were impacted by the pandemic," she said. "So we took a hard look at our business model, our services, and the way we approach the market. I'm happy to share that today we are stronger as a result."
