~ Chicago, IL - As National French Fry Day approaches, McCain Foods is gearing up to celebrate in a big way. The brand, known for producing 1 out of every 4 french fries consumed around the world, is taking its love for fries to the next level by declaring July 12 as a real holiday. To mark the occasion, McCain is unveiling the World's First French Fry House in Chicago.
Located at 224 N Elmwood Ave in Oak Park, the two-story house will be transformed into a fry lover's paradise with an array of fry-themed decorations. From giant French fry inflatables and extravagant holiday lights to trees and shrubbery covered in themed ornaments, the house will be a testament to potato love.
The festivities will take place on July 12 and 13 from 5-10pm and are open to all visitors. Guests can expect to enjoy free McCain French fries topped with delicious sauces and seasonings while supplies last. They can also participate in a French fry sing-along and meet Father Frymas, the holiday hero.
To kick off the celebrations, McCain has enlisted comedian and cookbook author Eric Wareheim as their National French Fry Day campaign spokesperson. In a video that will air on McCain's YouTube channel on July 12, Wareheim passionately educates his neighbor on the significance of National French Fry Day as a national holiday. He also shares his go-to recipe using McCain's Quick Cook products to create the ultimate Poutine dish.

Tracy Hostetler, Vice President of Marketing at McCain, expressed her excitement about the campaign saying, "At McCain we're on a mission to bring people together, and there's no better time to celebrate the unifying power of French fries than National French Fry Day! That's why we are inspiring fellow French fry lovers to imagine what it would be like if this day was a real holiday."
In addition to Wareheim's video, popular content creators will also be sharing their favorite ways to celebrate National French Fry Day, including DIY fry decorations and more. This content will go live on July 12 on McCain's website.
The National French Fry Day House is not to be missed. In addition to the free fries and meet and greet with Father Frymas, guests can also enjoy hourly sing-alongs with French fry carolers and revel in the outrageously fun fry-naments and decorations.
