Improv Comedy Feature Film Announcement - "Love & Improv"

CHICAGO - illiNews -- Chicago, IL: A new feature film production is coming to Chicago this winter. LOVE & IMPROV follows a gifted comedian and her rise in the iconic Chicago improv scene where most of the film's cast and crew got their start. It marks her struggle juggling love and her dreams. Justin Strandlund and Drew Dull of 2 East 8th Productions wrote the script and are set to direct the film together. The duo is co-producing the film with Adam Smestad of Smoose Entertainment, and Chicagoland filmmakers Kara Haller and Stephen Ruminski.

"This is our love letter back to the Chicago comedy community which has such a special place in our hearts," says Strandlund. "We're excited to be working with amazing local talent who also have roots in this city's legendary comedy scene."

The filmmakers have compiled a cast of well-known comedians from the Chicago improv scene and have sponsors from iconic Chicago brands, including Jeppson's Malort.
