In response, PSAP dispatched three engines, two ladder trucks, one heavy rescue squad, two medic units and two battalion commanders.
Squad 8 arrived on scene within four minutes and found a two-story wood-framed multifamily residential structure with smoke emanating from the rear of the home. First-arriving companies completed a 360-degree survey of the occupancy and found a fire on an attached deck in the rear of the home. Fire crews stretched a 1 3/4-inch handline to the rear of the structure and had the fire out within five minutes of arrival. All occupants had evacuated before NFD's arrival.
