Naperville Police this week arrested a Naperville resident for attempted child abduction following an investigation into an Aug. 2, 2020 incident.
On that day, Naperville Police were called to the 1600 block of Warbler Drive for a complaint that a man in a blue Honda Accord had been parked in front of the victim's house on the 0-100 block of Redstart Road when the male driver called out to two girls, ages 3 and 5, who were in their open garage to "come here."

The investigation led police to Owen M. Calkins, 69, of the 1700 block of Kildeer Drive in Naperville, who turned himself into Naperville Police on Tuesday, Oct. 20. He is charged with misdemeanor counts of attempted child abduction and attempted disorderly conduct.
