~ Naperville, IL- On Saturday morning, a tragic traffic accident occurred at the intersection of W. Ogden Avenue and Royal Saint George Drive. According to reports from the Naperville Police Department and Fire Department, a vehicle and a bicyclist were involved in the crash.
At approximately 10:21 a.m., authorities were dispatched to the scene where they found an unconscious female who had suffered a serious head injury. The victim was identified as 54-year-old Isabel Dimas-Jimenez, a resident of Naperville. She was immediately transported to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
The vehicle involved in the crash was a light green 2024 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 44-year-old female from Wheaton. Initial investigations suggest that the driver was traveling westbound on Ogden Avenue when she attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Royal Saint George Drive on a solid green light. It was during this turn that the Jeep collided with Dimas-Jimenez who was riding her bicycle in the crosswalk on the south side of Ogden Avenue.

Due to the severity of the incident, traffic crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department's Traffic Unit were called to the scene. As a result, W. Ogden Avenue remained closed until approximately 2 p.m.
The investigation into this tragic accident is still ongoing and no citations or charges have been issued at this time. The Naperville Police Department's Traffic Unit is urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward and contact them at 630-420-8833.
