~ On Monday, October 28, 2024, a shooting was reported in the 100 block of Testa Drive in Naperville. According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:48 p.m. Upon arrival, they found an 18-year-old male from Naperville lying on the grass outside an apartment building with a gunshot wound to his chest.
The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital by Naperville Fire Department personnel for treatment of his injury. Fortunately, it is not believed to be life-threatening.

Police established a perimeter and detained an 18-year-old male from Naperville who is considered a person of interest in the case. The initial investigation suggests that the two individuals knew each other and this was not a random incident.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities at (630) 548-2955 or via email at NapervilleCrimeTips@naperville.il.us. As more details become available, they will be released to the public.
