~ In the early hours of May 28, 2024, a residential burglary was reported in the 2600 block of Blakely Lane in Naperville. According to residents, they heard noises downstairs and upon investigation, discovered that their garage service door was partially open and a key fob was missing from the mudroom.
Upon arrival, Naperville Police Officers conducted an initial investigation and found that the perpetrator had broken into a vehicle in the driveway and used the garage door opener found inside to gain access to the residence. The offender then proceeded to steal car keys from the mudroom, which is located just inside the service door from the garage.

During their search for suspects, responding officers came across a person of interest walking nearby. Upon further inspection, they allegedly found burglary tools and stolen items on his person. The suspect was identified as 19-year-old Connor S. Cichy from Naperville's Ravendale Court.
Cichy was arrested and charged with Residential Burglary, a Class 1 felony, and Burglary, a Class 3 felony. However, it is important to note that these charges are merely accusations and Cichy is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The Naperville Police would like to remind both the public and news media that all individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. They also urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
