NEW YORK - illiNews -- Petrillo Stone, a stoneworking company in New York, has been awarded a multimillion-dollar marble contract for the CommonWealth Partners' property at the lobby of their 50-story office tower at 787 Seventh Avenue in New York City.
The contract consists of removing and salvaging stone benches, planters, and lighting, known as the Flanagan Sculpture. Petrillo Stone is drafting, supplying, and installing well over 20,000 square feet of Avorio Limestone, Calacatta Marble, Absolute Black Granite, Porcelain, ceramic tile, and Silestone.
Ralph Petrillo, co-owner of Petrillo Stone, is overseeing this project. The project is estimated to be completed by the second quarter of 2021.
"We're thrilled to have been chosen for this project," Ralph Petrillo, explains. "Our company has been in business since 1907 and this is one of the most unique and exciting projects we have had the opportunity to work on."
787 Seventh Avenue in New York City is a 50 story building that houses an athletic club, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a parking garage, two restaurants, and offers direct access to transportation.

The Commonwealth Partners is a vertically integrated, privately-owned real estate investment, development, and management organization. The architect of record is Gensler, an integrated architecture, design, planning, and consulting firm.
The Italian fabricator (Avorio Limestone, Calacatta marble, Absolute Black Granite) is the Santucci Group out of Carrara, Italy. The Santucci Group has been making its knowledge of natural stone and its processing techniques available to customers to carry out innovative projects for over 60 years.
The natural porcelain supplier and fabricator is Dimensional Stone, out of Mamaroneck, NY. Dimensional Stone's work can be seen on private homes, iconic New York City museums, hotels, churches, and arenas.
