CHICAGO, May 23, 2025 ~ In a recent announcement, United Airlines and the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA have reached an agreement that promises to provide top-of-the-line wages and various other improvements for United's 28,000 flight attendants. The final contract language is expected to be finalized in the coming days and will then be subject to approval by the AFA's Master Executive Council, which includes all Local Presidents. If approved, the tentative agreement will then be presented for ratification by United's flight attendants.

The proposed contract includes not only industry-leading pay wages but also a signing bonus and several enhancements to scheduling and quality of life for flight attendants. The new contract will remain in effect for five years before becoming amendable.

United CEO Scott Kirby expressed his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the airline's flight attendants, stating that they are "the best in the industry" and have earned an industry-leading contract.
