ELMHURST, Ill. - illiNews -- Who doesn't want to read about people finding their happy ever after in these crazy times? Tame My Racing Heart by Kelly Duff is just what we need right now.
ELMHURST, Illinois — Combined print and e-book sales have seen a lift in the last year as brick-and-mortar stores limit customers or have shut down during the pandemic. Self-published authors have seen an increase in sales because readers want an escape into a world of promise and hope.
If 2020 had given Kelly Duff anything, it was time. Time to think about the future of her novels and how to get them into readers' hands.
"I created ROGUE AFFAIR so I could get my books out into the world quickly," Duff says. "I have so many stories written in various stages of completion. I didn't want to wait around for a publisher to pick me up. Although I would definitely answer if they came knocking on my door. My goal is to get my work out there, and having some amazing self-published friends point me in the right direction of getting it done has helped. I'm so grateful for all of them."

Duff also kicked off a newsletter to keep in touch with her readers. "Expect some fun content and probably a picture or two of my fur babies. I've come to terms that they're the real superstars on my social media feeds," Duff said.
Coming in February, Duff will publish her first full-length novel.
TAME MY RACING HEART is the story of Sami Jo McLean, a hot-shot female race car driver who dominates the track, and Grayson Finch, a retired Navy SEAL who's been hired to protect her after she receives threatening photos.
TAME MY RACING HEART will be available in print and e-book with Amazon, Apple, and Barnes & Noble. The expected release date is February 14th.
