CHICAGO - illiNews -- Author Michael Finney is releasing a new alternative history fictional short story called Bloody Sepulchre on Amazon via Kindle Direct Publishing. The work takes place in a world where the Spanish Empire still dominates the Americas.
In the shadows of Nueva España, tensions escalate between the indigenous population and their colonial masters, Mikicia finds himself captured by the Inquisition and an ambitious soldier, Vicente. While their past has common threads, they fray in the present as a result of conflict and duty.
Will one man's rebellion ignite a fire that consumes them all?
Michael Finney said, "Bloody Sepulchre is my longest and most in-depth piece of fictional writing yet. I'm pleased with how it has turned out after building it up from a collection of ideas and references I began to take notes on about two years ago."

Bloody Sepulchre will also be released as an audiobook with narration-only and audio-play versions soon.

Finney added, "My hope is that readers enjoy the characters and world that is introduced in the story. Also, it's nice to see the themes I have placed into previous short story releases advancing in this release and others I intend to make available."
