A Chicago Man, 37, Found Dead Shot in the Head by Juveniles Armed with AR-15 Rifle

CHICAGO - illiNews -- On Monday, January 26th, 2026 at around 4:30pm, on the 8500 block of South Aberdeen Street in Chicago, Robert Stewart Parker, 37, was shot dead while sitting in the car with his female friend from Pennsylvania, 44, when a group of juveniles, who approached the car armed with an AR-15 rifle, started shooting them both in the head. The vehicle then took off down S. Aberdeen and crashed into a black metal gate, while the juvenile suspects fled on foot down an alleyway nearby. The female victim is in critical condition at Christ Hospital and is fighting for her life after this vicious double-shooting on the Southside of Chicago.

Frantic 9-1-1 calls poured into the dispatcher, identifying a neighbor's son, 16, as the shooter, but they were nervous to provide a description of the suspect. He and his friends were on the loose armed with an AR-15 while the Chicago Police Department used helicopters to search in the air, and officers on the ground to canvass in their vehicles and on foot. @Ms_RK8 (https://www.tiktok.com/@ms_rk8) with @Ms_RK_News (https://www.tiktok.com/@ms_rk_news) on TikTok arrived on the crime scene to shoot a video just minutes after hearing the delayed transmission on a CPD scanner and witnessed Lieutenant McNicholas spearheading the investigation from the 6th District. Crime scene investigators searched for evidence inside the white sedan as it was seen surrounded by red tape with blood splatters on the door. One witness who called 9-1-1 reported seeing a man laying underneath a truck, but it is unconfirmed whether it was a third friend, who was also sitting in the car during the shooting, or whether it was, in fact, Parker.
