CHICAGO ~ Chicago is set to make history as the featured Central Time zone location for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026." This announcement was made today by Mayor Brandon Johnson, along with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), Choose Chicago, ABC7, and Dick Clark Productions.

The highlight of the event will be a performance by GRAMMY Award-winning artist Chance the Rapper, who will also serve as the host for the broadcast. In celebration of Chicago's rich musical heritage, a diverse lineup of acts will entertain eventgoers from 9 p.m. to midnight.

The festivities will take place along the Chicago Riverwalk at Wacker Drive from Wells Street to Lake Street. The main stage will be located at Wacker and Franklin, where a custom audio/visual projection program from ART on THE MART will be displayed from 7 to 9 p.m. before on-stage performances begin.

The night will kick off with a performance by Chosen Few DJ legend and producer DJ Mike Dunn, followed by DJ Mike P who will keep the party going throughout the night. GRAMMY-, Peabody- and NAACP Image Award-winning poet and artist J. Ivy will also take the stage, followed by Chicago blues vocalist Shemekia Copeland.

But all eyes will be on Chance the Rapper as he takes the stage for a special countdown performance to ring in the new year. The excitement doesn't end there as fireworks will light up the sky from bridges along the Riverwalk.
