CHICAGO, April 15, 2024 ~ Chicago, IL - Combined Insurance Company of America, a subsidiary of Chubb and a leading provider of supplemental insurance in North America, has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the military, veterans, and their families through its Operation Veteran Giveback program. The company was also recently recognized as a 5-Star Employer by VETS Indexes for its ongoing support and efforts towards the military community.
The annual Operation Veteran Giveback program ceremony took place at Combined's Chicago offices in late March. During the event, leaders from the company presented two military service non-profit organizations with a total of $50,000 in checks. This year's recipients were Luke's Wings and Fisher House Foundation.
Luke's Wings is an organization that provides emergency travel for families of ill or injured service members, veterans, and fallen officers during hospital recovery and rehabilitation. They received a grant of $30,000 from Combined. Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes at military and VA medical centers so that family members can stay nearby at no cost while their loved one is receiving treatment. They were awarded a grant of $20,000.

According to Rich Williams, President of Combined Insurance Company of America, their mission is to provide insurance protection to individuals and families in their time of need. This aligns perfectly with the sacrifices made by military service members and their families. Williams stated that they are honored to continue supporting those who have served through initiatives like Operation Veteran Giveback.
This is not the only way that Combined Insurance demonstrates its commitment to the military community. Last week, they were named a 5-Star Employer in the 2024 VETS Indexes Employer Awards out of 344 organizations that applied. This award recognizes employers for their policies, practices, and outcomes related to veteran job candidate recruiting/hiring, veteran employee development, veteran-inclusive culture, support for National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouse/family support.
George Altman, President of VETS Indexes, praised Combined's efforts and stated that their dedication to hiring, retaining, and supporting veterans and the military-connected community has earned them one of the highest awards from VETS Indexes.
