CHICAGO - illiNews -- Oak Forest, IL - Just before the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown, Eco Lighting Services and Technology (ELS-T) was awarded WBE & DBE socio-economic certifications. The team at ELS-T was ready to see what new opportunities would present themselves with these two new certifications after being in business for over a decade. Now with the mask mandates being removed or at least less restrictive in most areas, more and more projects are resuming. ELS-T is looking forward to partnering with local GCs & ESCOs by capitalizing on their newly acquired certifications.

"In 2019, with the aspiration to work on the 8.5-billion-dollar ORD '21 project, I wanted to make sure that ELS-T put its best foot forward when submitting bids for all public and private sector projects. One way I knew I could stand apart from my competition was through these certifications. As a woman business owner in this industry, I knew that I needed to acquire my WBE & DBE certifications. First, I decided to acquire the DBE certification with PACE because ELS-T qualifies as a disadvantaged business.
