DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. - illiNews -- The highly anticipated 48th Annual Downers Grove Fine Arts Festival will take place on September 6-7, 2025, offering a vibrant weekend of art, entertainment, and community engagement in the heart of our award-winning, historic downtown.
This year's festival will showcase the work of more than 50 juried artists from across the country. Attendees can explore a diverse range of artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, wood, photography, fiber, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Each artist has been carefully selected for their creativity and craftsmanship, ensuring a high-quality experience for art lovers of all ages.
In addition to the stunning art, festival-goers can enjoy live entertainment throughout the weekend. The event will feature performances by local musicians and entertainers, including 2 local students. Briley Steffes, a DG District 99 student, will play on Saturday afternoon. Luca Ruiz, a DG District 58 student will be playing the piano on Sunday morning. Also playing will be Keithen Banks, John Crean, Lee Murdock, Tony Cortina and Scott Allen.

Families with young children will appreciate the special children's art activity, offering a hands-on creative experience for the little ones, sponsored by the Indian Boundary YMCA. On Saturday, September 6th, make sure to stop by Smile Downers Grove (5149 Main Street) for face painting, balloons and games from 10:30am-1:30pm.
The Downers Grove Fine Arts Festival is more than just an art show. Visitors are invited to explore the unique boutiques and shops that line our historic downtown, offering one-of-a-kind finds and local treasures. And no visit would be complete without sampling our local restaurants, where you can savor everything from gourmet meals to casual bites.
The festival will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, providing ample opportunity to enjoy all that the event has to offer. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.
