16th Annual ASID Design Excellence Awards Celebrate the Best of the Best

MORTON GROVE, Ill. - illiNews -- Joan Kaufman, FASID, LEED AP, president of Interior Planning & Design, Inc., of Naperville, Illinois has been named as the First Place winner of the 2019 ASID Design Excellence Award for Innovative Treatments of Walls, Countertops and/or Ceiling Design. Kaufman was selected from a variety of entries in the category. Over 200 guests attended the event that was held at Marshall's Landing in the Merchandise Mart, Chicago, Illinois. "Each year as part of the Society's mission, we support and recognize design excellence and projects that demonstrate the impact of design," said incoming ASID Illinois Chapter President Annemarie Delmonico. "Judges from across the country selected the best projects for 2019. A designer who is selected to receive this award exemplifies the highest level of creativity and quality of design. We are proud to honor Joan Kaufman."

After receiving the award, Kaufman stated; "It is an honor to be recognized by such a highly respected organization (ASID-IL). I believe good interior design can have a significant and positive impact on people's living spaces. It is a joy for me to improve a client's sense of well-being through my design knowledge and expertise."
