~ The City of Naperville is continuing its commitment to sustainability with its annual Arbor Day Tree Sale. The sale will take place online for a four-week period beginning March 20 and will close on April 14 or when all trees are sold, whichever comes first. Customers will be able to select from 34 different species of container-grown trees costing between $25 and $60 for use in beautifying their yards and sustaining the environment. A total of 381 trees are available for purchase, including various maples, oaks and elms.
To place an order, customers must go online to www.naperville.il.us/arbordaytreesale where they can purchase multiple tree types through PayPal in one transaction. Once an online order is complete, shoppers will be directed to use an online calendar to schedule a time to pick up their tree(s) on Saturday, April 22 at the Public Works Service Center from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., where they will be asked to stay in their vehicles while City staff members load the trees into vehicles during their pre-scheduled pickup timeslot. Customers will be limited to six trees and all tree sales are final; payment will be forfeited for trees that are not picked up on April 22 and no refunds will be given.
